TO OUR PARENTS WHO HELP MAKE LAWTON ACADEMY WHAT IT IS!
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
We have so many volunteering; yet, sometimes we are so busy that we forget to ask when we need you. We are hoping to remedy that situation. We realize we can be even better with the input and effort you are offering. Accordingly, we are instituting a structured volunteer program. The first volunteer we need is a coordinator of volunteers, (We have a staff member who will serve as a liaison.) By the time we have the coordinator, we will know of additional places we need volunteers. We know we can always use help with computer problems, grading papers, book orders, transportation, answering the phone, meeting and offering guided tours for prospective patrons, and help with outside maintenance (if we have a growing season this year!).
If you are willing to help, please return this page with information requested below. Be advised, we will need a background check iou work directly with children outside of direct supervision. Outside maintenance, assisting a teacher when the teacher is present, and computer work after school and on weekends are exempt. The background check will incur a fee but for the safety of our children and our liability, it will be required. (A sign of the time...)
